Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is comprised of actors, and she has also been working in both fields. In 1985, she made her debut in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni. In 1999 Asia was the first to direct a feature film with Scarlet Diva (2000), where she acted as the leading actress and author of the screenplay. The film released May 2000, both in Italy and across the rest the world. The film was honoured by the Williamsburg Festival of Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou was her first born daughter in 2001. After having directed a number of music videos she had Anna Lou. The actress starred alongside Jean-Marc Barre as Jean-Marc Barr in The Red Siren, directed by Olivier Megaton. In 2003 she starred alongside Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen's action thriller. Asia also has a collection of stories that have appeared in prestigious magazines.
